What has Max been up to?

Max has been doing a lot this week - nothing monumental, but he just DOES a lot.  He is a fast crawler (future track runner?), loves to eat (and this comes as a surprise?), and is a HAM in front of the camera (again, surprised?).  Max seems to have grown up a lot in the last few weeks, he is talking a lot more, he is using his hands to communicate, and follows us around the condo.
He is so cute!  I love my little man.

Max's new thing is that he says "Yum Yum" after eating pancakes.
This is his new pose.  I am not sure where he got it from.  But I think Elmo does it a lot.

Max and Mei

This is cute Mei and handsome Max.  Babies have their own language, and they totally understand each other.  These to cuties like to touch each others faces and squeal.

Sunny Provo

It is beautiful in Provo.
I love Spring and I am loving being outside.
On Saturday Morning I packed up Max in his jogging stroller and took him on a 7 mile hike up the mountains and up in the Provo hills, it was a great workout and fun for both of us.
*My jogger has speakers and I rock out to my "gym mix" music for the whole walk.  I am pretty sure that makes me a running nerd, but whatever.

Max also enjoys sitting out on the grass outside.  He flirts with all the pretty ladies that walk by and loves it when huge trucks speed pass him.

Growing Up

Max is growing up.
There are parts I hate about watching him grow, but then there are parts I love.
I hate that he isn't a baby anymore.  He is a crawling, standing, getting into everything little man.
I love how curious he is.
I hate that he can now topple over the trash cans.
I love how he follows me around the house.
I hate that he cries when I leave.
I love how he smiles and laughs at the wind, and cars going by on the street.
I hate that he is growing up, but I love watching him grow into the little person I know he can be.
He is the best.

10 months

10 months.  I am in awe by my little Man.
10 months ago my little man looked like this:

And now he is a crawling, moving, standing, getting into everything little man.
I love his smiles, his snuggles, his giggles, and his unconditional love he has for his Daddy and I.
HAPPY 10 MONTHS MAXWELL!

Your Mom and Dad love you very much!

Spring Break Rocks

I used to think NOTHING beats Christmas Break.
I used to think NOTHING beats Christmas trees, decorations, presents, and all of the Christmas lights.  Boy have I been wrong...

SPRING BREAK IS BETTER THAN CHRISTMAS!!

I have never needed a break like I needed on this year.
I have spent quality time with my family, snuggled with Max, went on long walks outside in the sunshine with Max, did hardly any school work, took naps - lots of naps, and watched some of my favorite TV shows.
NOTHING beats this!

SPRING BREAK is my new CHRISTMAS!

 Making pancakes with Daddy!

 So tired!

 Will the cook.

Max loves to sit like this and watch the cars go by.

 Making a mess while eating.
Our favorite activity is to swing at the park!  Max loves it!
I love Spring Break.

Easter 2012 - A post of Pictures

Easter 2012 was epic.  Epic in the sense that Max learned a lot and got to spend time in the GREAT State of New Jersey.    Max and I traveled to New Jersey on April 5th and spent a full 5 days in the Garden State.
This is a list of the top ten Easter Happenings:
1.  Max didn't sleep a wink on the flights - he was wide awake and flirting with every girl in sight.

Look at this flirt!
2.  He got an Elmo stuffed animal that he wouldn't touch for two days, instead he would just smile at it and talk it.  He couldn't believe that it was his, or that he could touch Elmo.
3.  Uncle Brandon taught him how to dunk a basketball.  Grandpa Rust got him a basketball hoop as a surprise, and he LOVED it.  I need to get him one for Utah.
4.  Max was king of the world.  He loves being on shoulders.  One of my brother's best friends, Grant, is 7 feet.  He was laughing the whole time he was on his shoulders.
5.  We visited my Mom's memorial bench on Easter Sunday.
6.  Rita's water ice.  Enough said.
7.  Eating his first real New Jersey pizza.
8.  Taking a bath in grandpa's huge jacuzzi bath tub.
9.  Learning how to give "high fives."
10.  Spending time with Grandpa and Uncle Brandon.  Priceless.

Enjoy the rest of the pictures!  Happy Easter to all.

Just hanging out in the New Jersey sun.  It was a beautiful weekend.

Mirror-Mirror
This mirror is in my Dad's room and it was one of Max's favorite places to crawl to.
