Tiff's Top Three on Friday!

1.  Breakfast.  What is considered proper breakfast food?
I grew up with cold cereal on School days, and then on Saturday we would have pancakes, and Sunday we would always go out for Sunday Brunch at a classic NJ Diner.  (Yes, everyone should experience a REAL diner at some point in their life - put it on your bucket list!)
Will on the other hand feels that ANYTHING makes a good breakfast.  Lasagna, cold pizza, leftover chicken, cold sandwiches, etc.
Today he fed Max Chicken Nuggets, I wasn't very happy, but then he asked me, why is it that at 9am he can't have nuggets, but then at 11 am (Lunch time) it is okay?
I had no answer.

2.  I have been swimming since about 6 months old.  I taught myself how to swim at 18 months, and my parents said that I rarely got out of the water.  (I don't even think Will know that about me...)
Now with Seven Peaks open I have realized just how much I love to swim.  And I love the smell of chlorine.  Weird, Maybe...awesome, YES!
3.  Tetris.  I love a good game of Tetris.  Will and I play on the Wii, and most of the time Will wins (he plays more video games than me...) but sometimes I shock myself and win!  We are trying to get Max to like the game.

Play Date

A 2 month old, a 8 month old, and a 12 month old what could be any better right?
So fun to get together with great friends, and their babies.
When we all met at Canyon Crest almost 2.5 years ago we didn't have babies.  It was fun to have the babies together and see them interact.
Amelia is Stephanie's beautiful little girl, she is 2 months.
Chloe is Caitlyn's smiley cutie, she is 8 months.
And then Max, the big boy, who if I do say so myself was pretty good at sharing his toys, and allowing me to hold the other babies.

What a fun afternoon!

Protecting Amelia!  He is gonna marry her.

Seven Peaks

This year Will and I decided to buy Seven Peaks Passes.  It is a local water park that has a lazy river, water slides, and a great kiddy play area.  The season passes are usually 80 dollars, but I bought two groupons in December and payed 29.95 for a "Pass of all passes."  It was a GREAT purchase!

We walk from our condo, it is about 1.3 miles, and play with Max in the lazy river for an hour, and then walk back.  It is a good workout for Will and it is fun!

Today I went with Casch and Nelesoni and it was so fun.  The boys were so cute.

I am excited to be at Seven Peaks all summer with our friends!

What's been going on?

Will has been working a lot more now that I am home with Max.  It is so nice to have a schedule that is working for our family.  I am tutoring 3-4 days a week and the rest of the day Will works either from home or at the T-Shirt shop.
When Will gets home Max gets so excited, and usually there is wrestling and a little Wii play for the boys before dinner.

We have been trying so hard to be better about brushing Max's teeth.  He basically likes to chew on the brush.

Elmo is still his favorite - but now he will watch a whole Sesame Street just sitting either snuggled on the couch with me, or in the middle of the floor.  It is adorable!

My brother (Uncle B) has been giving Max BRIO since before Max was born.  We have a pretty good collection now.  Max's birthday present came today, and we added another train, with remote to our train set.  Thanks Uncle B!

We have had a few days of tears around these parts.  Max is teething really bad right now.  He has 6 teeth - and we think 3 more trying to push through.  It makes for interesting nights, but we are using Tylenol, teething rings, frozen pancakes and waffles, and lots and lots of hugs.

This video is of Max throwing balls.  It is his new favorite game:

Tiff's Top Three on Friday!

My Three secret "bad" habits:

1.  I love Diet Coke.  I didn't drink it while I was pregnant, but that was one of the first things I wanted after Max was born.  I love the bubbles, the taste, the everything.  And I would rather drink it from a bottle than a can...Will doesn't understand the difference, but OH THERE IS!
2.  I LOVE People magazine, and People.com.  I have read people magazine since I was very little.  I remember sitting in bed with my Mom and reading People and filling out the cross word puzzle.

3.   I love watching the News.  I watch KSL (Channel 5 in Utah), when I go home to NJ I love ACTION News (Channel 6), and I love love love THE TODAY SHOW.  I have always liked watching the news.  Secretly I would love to be a news caster, and do the top news stories.  I think that news is fascinating.

12 month well-check

Max went in today to have his 12 month check up.
We LOVE our doctor.  (Thanks Tanei for the recommendation)

Max was having a blast at his appointment - tearing up paper, laughing, and flirting with the nurses.
He weighs 27 pounds, is 32 inches, and has a huge head 19.5 inches!

He loved the appointment - until he got 4 shots.  But after some snuggling and a sticker, he was himself again.  He is a happy and healthy 1 year old, who needs to eat more solids and less milk through the day, but other than that, he is SUPER!

Here are some 12 month photos that I took:

"It's My Party and I'll Cry if I want to!"

Max's first birthday party was really fun...for everyone...maybe besides the birthday boy.

We have such amazing friends and family.
The Parker gang hosted the party in their beautiful backyard.
We did a simple party - just desserts.  And now when I look back at it, I am glad that we didn't do anything more.  Max was so overwhelmed (And Teething) with everything.

When I think about the party the word that best describes the whole night is LOVE.  Pure unconditional love.  We have the best group of friends in the world.  We have such great family in Utah, and I am so blessed to be a part of their family.  Max received so many thoughtful gifts that showed how much people knew him.  He got Cars, Balls, Puzzles, and a "boys" night with his buddy Jason.  It was just a perfect night.  A perfect FIRST Birthday!

Here are pictures and video from the day:
