Mama-Mama-Mama

Dexter has learned a new trick, and it makes me very very happy.

There is nothing better than hearing "Mama" from your babies.
And Dexter is a chatter box, so I hear it a lot.

The Dentist

I hate going to the dentist.
I have a very high pain tollerance, except when it comes to my mouth.  Then I want the drugs!
I have never had a cavity in 32 years, until this last visit.  Being pregnant and having two babies has done a number on my teeth.  Lets just say I have a few fillings that need to happen in the near future.

Dexter thought the dentist was great.
Such a ham I am raising.

Dexter's First Haircut

Dexter needed a haircut.
I was a little apprehensive to cut my babies hair but it was getting in his eyes.
He is only 6-months-old.
So we found a place called Cookie Cutters in Lehi where we got his hair cut.
He didn't cry or anything.

Here is the cut - beginning to end:

Compare a Dexter:

Dexter's 6 month check up

"I’m a little teapot, short and stout
Here is my handle, here is my spout
When I get all steamed up, hear me shout
Tip me over and pour me out."

Dexter is like a little teapot.  Short and Stout.
We call him Mr. Pudge.

He is 17 pounds (75%)
He lost a pound in the last week from being sick but is on his way back.  He has been eating a lot.
He is a cute 27 inches, which is in the 23%.
His head is large at 17.5 inches, which is the 85%.

He is a little guy.

He has a love-hate relationship with the paper at the doctors.

Can't catch a break

Dexter can't seem to catch a break.

Thursday night Dexter got a high fever.
Friday all day he was miserable.  Then he started breathing really bad again.
We went to the doctors.
Saturday was awful.
Sunday he seemed better, except for the fever that wouldn't quit.
Monday is started feeling awful again.  Very tired, and not eating.
I hate when he doesn't eat for so many reasons.
My fear is that my milk supply will dry up and the boy who loves the boob will be without a way to get food.  Extreme yes, but that is what we are dealing with.
Monday afternoon back to the doctors we went (Another co-pay to add to the medical bills that are adding up in 2014 already!)
Turns out he has a bad throat infection and a virus.  So no medication can help.  Tylenol and Advil.

He needs some prayers.  Lots.
