Christmas Eve and Christmas Day 2012

This Christmas was just perfect in my book.  It was very chill, laid back, and not stressful at all.
Christmas Eve was spent hanging out watching movies, going out to dinner with Will's family and then hanging out at the McGuire's house for a bit.
Christmas Day was much of the same.  We opened presents.  Max got cars, cars and more cars.  He was excited and would wave his little arms every time we helped him open another gift.  Santa also got him magnets, and blocks.  Late in the afternoon we talked with my dad and brother over facetime.  Then headed to Will's brother's house for dinner and more relaxation.  It was great.  I love non-stressful holidays.
Here are some pictures from the night and day:

The week before Christmas 2012

Nelesoni, Casch and Nelson gave Max this awesome Mat for his cars and trains to ride on.  Perfect gift for our car loving man.
This is a text I sent back and forth to Will.  This is just part of it.  The CT shootings really hit me hard, and as a teacher, I just can't imagine what those teachers felt in that moment.  I know that I would have done what Vicky Soto did, throw myself in the line of fire to protect my students.
We are really working on the fork...Max still isn't so sure it should be used with food.
Perfect Night for some Mickey on Mom's lap.
These are some of the boys I had in my class last year - CRAZY BOYS!
Max loves the library.  But he especially loves the old computers at the library.  He bangs the heck out of the keyboards.

 Baby Blue eyes

Nothing better than a naked bum
Ready for a walk at night in the cold with Daddy.  Off to the library to run around.

Four more days until Christmas 2012

18 months and growing

Eighteen Months ago at 7:47pm I gave birth to the cutest, blondest, longest, squishiest baby ever.  He was just perfect. I can't believe 18 months have gone by.  Will and I have sure learned a lot about being parents, and we are still learning.  We are so proud of Max.  We are blessed to be his parents here on earth.  We thank Heavenly Father everyday for the blessings he brings to us.

18 things about Max that I never want to forget:
1.  He gives the best hugs.  When he wants a really good hug, he will tuck his feet under his chest and hold on for dear life.
2.  He is kind and sensitive.  He feels for others.  He doesn't like to see his Mommy getting hurt.  After the accident he would just stare at the bruises on my legs, and sometimes touch them and then run away.
3.  He LOVES his CARS.  Boy do we have an addiction to cars.  He loves them.  He studies them.  He wants nothing more than to figure out how they work.  When we go on walks he must touch every tire, bike, and car we see.
4.  He loves his Daddy.  They are buddies.  They wrestle, play video games, read together, and have the best bath times together.
5.  He throws awesome tantrums.  We are teaching him not to throw things when he is mad.  He is learning.  (We laugh a lot at this full out on the floor tantrums.)
6.  He doesn't say much.  "Mamamamamamam" is the word right now.  He signs a bit.  But wants nothing to do with talking.  I am not worried right now because he understands what we are saying, takes directions well, and communicates with us.  He makes his own noises, which is funny, and you can tell his brain is working through those sounds.
7.  He sleeps through the nights, most nights.  He has been having bad dreams.  Will and I need to go in hold him and give him some juice, but otherwise, he is a good sleeper.  He actually always has been. And he still can fall asleep anywhere.  Even on the nursery room floor for 45 minutes.
8.  He still loves Elmo...but we are moving on...He watches Mickey Now, Mater's Tall Tales, and the Muppets.  It is awesome.  And it has changed the way I feel about TV again.
9.  Max has a Best Bud, his name is Nelesoni and they sure do love each other.  It is good for both boys, and they are learning how to hug, play and share.  Plus they are just soooo cute together!!
10.  Max is now going to nursery.  He loves it, they have cars.

11.  GERALD is still his best bud.  When he wants to go to bed he goes to his room grabs Gerald and his blanket and starts snuggling on the carpet.
12.  The Bathroom.  Max has found a love for my makeup.  He organizes it.  He plays with it.  He brushes his hair, and puts my mascara on his head.
13.  He hates wearing pants.
14.  Loves bath time.  He throws all his toys on the floor and then will clean them up when he gets out of the tub.  And when I say clean up, I mean throw them back in the tub.
15.  Is very interested in Christmas lights.
16.  Loves to take long walks - without the stroller.  He can walk to our friends the Wilson's house.  Which is about 5 blocks away.  And then back.
17.  He has favorite foods:  CHEESE, APPLE JUICE, CHICKEN NUGGETS, GO-GURT, PIZZA, LASAGNA, NOODLES, RAMEN, CHOCOLATE MILK, CRACKERS, PEAS, CARROTS and anything that Mom and Dad are eating.
18.  He is such a joy.  He is my snuggle baby.  He is Will's wrestle buddy.  He is the best son we could ever ask for.

Happy 18 Months Max!

Dice Stacking

Will bought some dice the other day.  He is making a game.
Max LOVES to stack the dice, and he is REALLY good at it.  He can stack dice like 6 or 7 high.  It is pretty amazing.

Here is video evidence and pictures:
