Christmas 2013

Christmas 2013 - In Pictures
We spent Christmas Eve at our great friends the McGuire's house.  This is our third year being with their family, and I must say it is a tradition we want to keep.

Mitch McGuire with Dexter
Some Family pictures.  I am really happy with how these came out.  They show all of the multiple personalities of our family.

Both Max (6 months) and Dexter (5 months) sitting in the big leather chair at the McGuire's.  I want to get this framed.

Trimming our Toddler Christmas tree with the gifts!  Will and I were in bed by midnight.
 CHRISTMAS MORNING:
Max woke up at 8:30 and then watched half of Winnie the Pooh before he even realized their were presents under the tree.

He got CARS underwear.  And of course wore them OVER his PJ's.

Dexter being just 5 months got some baby things, but mostly was interested in the wrapping paper.

TRAINS!  TRAINS!  And more TRAINS!

CHRISTMAS EVENING:
We went to Will's sister Katie's house.
We hung out, ate a yummy dinner and played games.
Dexter and Luke played next to each other.

Dexter at this point of the day was exhausted. He didn't sleep all day.  And so at 7pm he was beat.  So was Max.  They both took naps at Katie's house.

And Christmas 2013 has come and gone.
It was a good one.
We can't wait until next year!
HAPPY 2013!

Max is 2.5 years old!

I can't believe Max is 2.5 years old.  That is 30 months!  Can you believe it?
Max is a gem.  He is such a great little boy.  He has his toddler moments, and he enjoys making me crazy most days, but overall he is a wonderful little boy!  Will and I are very lucky to have him as a son.  And we are learning VERY fast that he was a very easy going baby, so opposite of Dexter.  He certainly spoiled us!
Max loves brushing his "t-t" of his teeth!  We actually use it as a distraction in the morning when Will leaves for work.
He is a ham.  His blond hair isnt' really getting any darker.  His hair has become very curly.  He hasn't conquered nursery just yet.  He loves his Daddy, and waits by the door for him to come home.
He is my number one little man.  We butt heads a lot, but I think it is because personality wise we are A LOT alike.  He is a bit OCD like his mother, and we both are super stubborn.
He is very serious.  He thinks a lot.
Max LOVES popcorn!!  I wish he would like other food too.  But basically he eats popcorn, bread (white bread, no crust), waffles, apple juice, milk, and chocolate milk, noodles, ramen, and cheese.  Sometimes we can get him to try other things, but he is pretty skeptical.  NO candy, cake, ice cream, or any other sugar substance enters his body.  He is going to have AWESOME skin!
Max likes to throw everything in the sink.  Will often comes home from work to a sink full of toys.
Playing with other toys.  He mostly plays with cars and trains.

Reading.  Max LOVES books.  He loves going to the library to get new truck books.  If he needs to calm down, which is often, he will go sit with his books.

Climber.
Cars, trains, trucks anything with wheels are Max's favorite toys.
Max LOVES to sleep!  He often doesn't take a nap at the best time, but when he sleeps he is OUT!  And Gerald often is right on his face!

We are so lucky to have this 2.5 year old in our life.  He sure keeps us on our toes!

Random things. Awesome pictures.

Whenever we say "HIIIII Dexter!"  We get this huge gummy smile.

He is very interested in his hands right now.  So covering them with Max's snuggle blanket was really fun to watch him struggle.  Mean I know, cute yes yes yes!

Will and Dexter have become good buddies.  It is super amazing.  Dexter is a huge Mama's boy, but Daddy is gaining a huge spot in Dexter's heart.

A real man wears his children.  Both of them.  Hottie!
Will thought that this was the best way to dress Dexter.  Amazing.  Onesie outside of the pants.
Max has been talking a lot more lately.  His favorite word is STAR.  Anytime he sees a star he lets us know.  For his 2nd birthday Aunt Rebecca sent him star stickers.  Max decorated the condo, his shirt, and even his baby B!

I made cake pops.  It was easy, fun, and cheap.  I am going to make more for Christmas Eve.  I followed this blog for the step by step directions.
Look who can touch his toes now.  And chew on them.

Dexter didn't get the message.  After church is ALWAYS nap time!
Max and Mommy snuggle time.  Max has been my little buddy lately.  Snuggles are always good.

Poor Gerald.  He is going to need a chiropractor.
**PS - I did this whole blog post while BOTH boys were napping AT THE SAME TIME!  BAM!
