Getting Ready for Baby Peanut

Slowly I have started getting ready for Baby Peanut.  Very Slowly.
Max is growing like a weed, and I had to pack up a lot of his clothes to make room for new ones.  He is a 4T on the top, but still a 24 months/2T on the bottom.  He has the LONGEST arms and body.  It is crazy.  Those are Rust genes.  Proud of them.
While Will was putting things for Max in storage I had him get out the baby clothes from Max.  There was a lot.
I also thought I organized them a lot better.  Wrong.  So I basically re-organized everything, went through and got rid of the stuff that I didn't like from Max, or that was stained to no return.  Will and I had a good laugh because we remembered how BIG Max was at 8 weeks.  He hardly used 0-3 month clothes, and went right to 3-6, 6-9 months.  So we have a ton of those.  I am thinking this baby is going to be a bit smaller than Max, just because of how the pregnancy has been going so far, but you never know.  (Maybe a smaller head?)

So I have the 0-3 month stuff out and in drawers in Max's room, and then 3-6 month stuff waiting to be used in the closet.
I need winter stuff for this baby, but we will deal with that when winter comes.
I am really excited to meet Baby Boy Peanut, and got more excited when I went through the clothes.

Max isn't to sure about this whole baby thing.  He kept pointing to the clothes and sternly saying "NO, NO, NO!"

(He only says to words Mom and No, so in my head I thought he was really saying "LOVE LOVE LOVE!")

Getting over being sick - the weird sick.

The rash is slowly going away, so playing inside has increased.  We still have to keep him away from others.  I posted in the last blog entry what he had.  But lets just say it was weird.

He loves playing "roll-back" on the kitchen table.  He thinks it is sooo funny.

This is his new CRAZY face.  He makes this one a lot.

Weird sickness

Max has had a weird sickness all week.  He had a fever, got a weird rash, had the good old runs, and wasn't eating anything.  Turns out he had a viral infection that I guess is going around Provo.
We have been doing a lot of snuggling.  Which is just fine with me.

Our doctors office has this awesome fish tank.  I want a fish tank for Mother's Day.  I am allergic to anything else.  Max just figured out the fish this past visit and stood in amazement.

Phil and Teds

Welcome to the family Phil and Teds stroller.
I have wanted this double stroller for a while, and when we found it at Costco on Sale we went and bought it.  It is usually a 700-800 dollar stroller.

Max loves it because he can get in the toddler seat all by himself.  He will go and sit in it, with or without clothes during the day.  I love it because it isn't double wide!

Cracker Theif

Max is so tall.  His arms are so long.  We have really had to move EVERYTHING away from the edge of the counters.  And even then, he knows how to climb.
Well he climbed up one day, saw the crackers and went to town.

Funny Max Movies!

He gets his awesome beat from his Uncle Brandon.  I will take no credit for those moves.

Turing the bath BLUE

We turned Max's bath BLUE!
I froze some of his bath toys in a container with BLUE food coloring.  He loved it!

Valentine's Day 2

Will bought Max and I balloons for Valentine's Day.  Max has been playing with them non stop.  Great surprise gift!
I hope everyone had a pink love filled day!!  Xoxo

It's a BOY!

There is no-doubt about it.  Max is going to have a baby brother come August!  We are VERY excited and over the moon happy.  I knew it was a boy.  I have always known I would have all boys.
The even better news is that the baby is healthy and growing great.  My placenta has moved up and is in a much better position.

So Max had better start practicing sharing his trains and cars!

Half Way Through February 2013

And here we are half way into FEBRUARY!
Next week we get to find out what the gender of BABY PEANUT will be???  BOY OR GIRL??  What is your guess??
One thing is for certain.  Max is growing.  He is sleeping 10+ hours straight at night.  He is taking a 3 hour nap everyday.  And LOVES milk.  He is gonna be taller than me by the time he is 10.
He is showing a lot of personality these days.  He loves being silly and funny.  He tells his own "jokes" and likes to be the center of attention.  Who wouldn't want to be at almost 20 months?
Things we are learning about Max:
*He doesn't like big groups at all.  He gets really shy, cries and wants to be held.  It doesn't matter if it is a big group or a small group.  If they are loud, he cries.  He likes to be on his own.
(I am really going to have to tell my Dad and Brother to whisper when they are around him, in the Rust family all we do is LOUD!)
*He needs time to settle down every night and play by-him-self with cars.
*He understands more than we think.  We can give him full commands and he does it.  Like "go get the balls and bring them to Mommy."  Or "Would you like something to eat?"  And he will run to the kitchen and try opening the fridge.
*He LOVES Will.  He is sure a Daddy's boy.  He cries when Will leaves in the morning, and loves when he comes home.
*He is a climber.  He climbs on anything.  Including the oven.
*He loves Gerald, and the poor arms are going to fall off.  Good thing Will knows how to sew those arms right back on.
He loves small places and corners.  He has started to find private places to go #2.
A new car ramp was "the best day"!

Max HATES the cold.  He cries when he goes outside.  He doesn't like to walk in the cold.  He wants to be held.  And UTAH has had the coldest winter since 1947?  Why don't we live in California????
"Mom I am NOT listening to you."  He loves putting his fingers in his ears.

KING CAKE eating.  We celebrated FAT TUESDAY with our "gang" of friends.  We ate way to much, had food comas, and slept well that night.  Max loved the sugar and cake in the KING CAKE.
Max woke up not feeling to well one day and he walked around all morning with Gerald in one hand, his blanket on his head, no pants, and in a daze.  It was to funny, sad, and cute NOT to take a few pictures.
