Can you tell me how to get to Sesame Street?

If Max could talk he could answer this question.  Max loves Sesame Street - and more specifically he loves Elmo's World.

This is the set of Sesame Street.
The next picture is some of the awesome characters on the show.
Max is crazy for Elmo, and can even say "Elmo."  He gets so excited and moves his hands and arms tons when Elmo comes on screen.

Here is a video of Max getting excited to watch "Elmo's World."

Growing Up (seven and half months)

My little man sure is growing up.  He has his own personality now and I am in love with it.  He knows how to use his eyes to flirt and get what he wants.  He is the star of ALL Canyon Crest faculty meetings, and disrupts my 5th grade classroom every-time he visits.  My students think he is so cute, so chubby, so funny, and they love hearing him say "Mama."
Max LOVES bath time.  He is starting to understand words we use everyday, and "BATH" is one of his favorites.  Along with "ELMO, MOM, DAD, PHONE, UP, FOOD, MILK"
Aunt Rebecca made Max his bath towel and he loves it.
Ahhh the phone.  We have created a monster.  He LOVES his phone.  And yes this is HIS phone.  I got a new phone, so we gave Max my old one.  He loves it.  He holds it, babbles to it, and truly believes it is magic.
We call it the "Magic Screen."

He got an important text from someone - I bet it was Penny Parker.

Hit in the Face

I debated putting this video on the blog.
It makes me laugh and cry at the same time.
It is the first of (I am sure) many of Max crying because he hurt himself.

He is trying so hard to be independent, but when he cries for Mom I know he is still my little baby.

Max and Penny

This is Max and Penny.  How cute are they?

We went to the Parker's for dinner tonight with the Henry clan, and it was so fun to hang out.  We ate lots of yummy food, talked, laughed, watched our kids (sort of), and played on the Wii.  It was a much needed break from school and work.  And plus - Max had two of his favorite girls in one room Nohea and Penny, he was in HEAVEN!

Mad Max

This is what happens when Max gets hungry and mad.
(You can also see his teeth)

I love it when Max says Mom!

Introducing Gerald The Giraffe

This is Gerald the Giraffe.  He is Max's favorite stuffed animal.  Gerald goes everywhere with Max, and has become an official member of our family.  He has been slept with, spit up on, stepped on, has had food and milk dropped on him, and he has been LOVED (a lot)!  Welcome to the Family Gerald.

PS - We are trying to figure out who gave Gerald to Max...??

7 months

I can't believe Maxwell is 7 months already.
Time sure has flow by.

Top Twelve Max Moments in the Last Month:
1.  Sitting up in the Bath - loves bubbles and getting Dad REALLY wet with splashing.
2.  Wrestling with Daddy.  They both laugh and laugh.
3.  Sleeping in his CRIB through the night!  This was a HUGE deal for us.  To be honest we hated the sleep training.  We tried letting him cry, and then after two nights of crying for 7-8 hours straight, I couldn't do it anymore.  (Call me weak)  So we did our own form of sleep training.  We got Max a really comfy mattress, that was the first step.  Then instead of trying for the whole night in his bed, we started with an hour.  He would sleep for an hour in his crib, then we would move him to his "Rock and Play."  We increased the time each night, and eventually he slept 6 hours straight in his crib one night, and TA-DA, he has been in his crib ever since.
 4.  Finding his very own stuffed animal to love.  He sleeps with and has to hold onto GERALD the GIRAFFE while he eats. (Gerald is in the background of the above picture)
5.  Saying "Mom"
6.  Talking to Uncle B and Grandpa Rust over FaceTime on our i-pad.
7. Max and Will played the whole Zelda game together on the Wii, and beat the game.  (Will has lost about ten pounds playing with Max.)  He puts Max, who is 23 pounds, in the baby bjorn and bounces around with him playing the Wii.
8.  Max has hair - and it is curly.
9.  Max is very social - he loves to be the center of attention, especially at the Canyon Crest faculty meetings.  (Although he did sleep through bowling at Will's 29th birthday)
10.  He loves to sing and dance.  And he is going to have better moves than his parents.  Thank Heavens!
11.  He LOVES solid foods - anything we give him he has loved.  But his favorites are apples, squash, sweet potato, peas, and "puffs."
12.  His favorite color is RED - he will pick red over any other color.  He will reach very far for any red toy.

Max has the BEST pout lip face!

Our Happy Boy!  He is the best thing on the planet.  Will and I love him so much.
Happy 7 month birthday Maxwell McLean Strong
