Max's BFF Nelesoni

Max and Nelesoni have a very cute baby friendship.  They recognize each other.  And this morning while Casch was explaining how to make bread to me in our kitchen, we overheard Max "reading" to Nelesoni.  Pretty much the cutest thing ever.  I love that these two have each other.

5th grade Thriller and Footloose

They learned the dance that Will and I made up in our living room.
They practiced with me for a week and then with their 5th grade teachers for two weeks.
They preformed perfectly in front of the entire Canyon Crest community. 
It was awesome!

And yes - that is me excited and yelling in the background.  They were that good. 
And yes - I was so mad at that one dad who got right in front of me.  Did he not realize, I was there first, with my camera????

Tiff's Top Three on Friday!

Today is my birthday.  So my top three are going to be about three birthday memories.

1.  When I turned 16 my parents threw me a surprise party in the basement of a bar.  Yeah, it was crazy, I heard the music coming from downstairs and knew something was up.  It was fun, we danced a lot, and they knew me well enough to play Billy Joel when I walked in the room.

(Embarrassing moment...learning that my dad "scouted" out the soccer team - THE BOYS VARSITY - to come to my party.  He actually went to their game, with a clipboard, wrote down names, and sent them invites...I wasn't that cool, they didn't come.)

2.  The birthday I got my first bike.  I don't remember my age, but I remember thinking this was AWESOME!

3.  My brother and I don't talk that much on the phone.  We email, Blackberry message, and text.  So I know that on my birthday I get a call.  Always have.  Always will.  It is special.

Tiff's Top Three on Friday!

My top three FAVORITE musicians (These are not groups, that is another post)

1.  BILLY JOEL - Hands down, the best piano man.  (My opinion)  I have all his songs memorized, I have seen him in concert twice.  I love everything he does, and I even own that picture book he did about ten years ago.  (The illustrations are AWFUL, but still I bought it.)  I always taught my students his songs, and explained to them that he was THE BEST.  And by the first Parent Teacher Conferences, I always had a few parents ask me "Why does my child want to buy Billy Joel Songs on i-tunes?"
I will meet  him one day.  And thank him for being a constant in my life.  

2.   ELTON JOHN - From Goodbye Yellow Brick Road to Lion King, I just love him.

**Side Note - they are AWESOME together!  Two piano's on one stage.  PERFECT!

 

3.  Whitney Houston - Her voice breaks windows.  Simply Beautiful.  And her hair, amazing.

After a hard week, this laugh keeps me going.  Max keeps me smiling.  I have watched this video multiple times when I feel like crying.  I sure do love being this little boys Mom.
