ESCAPE to the MALL??
A sick toddler is NO fun at all. The snot, the cough, the fever, the whining, oh gosh the whining!!
Running around with toddler friends is a NO, being outside to much is a NO, and going stir crazy inside is a YES. So for the past three nights we have been taking Max to the mall and letting him run around anywhere and everywhere he wants for an hour.
His favorites:
Other kids strollers - he loves the wheels.
Game Stop - he liked touching ALL of the controllers.
The escalator - he thinks it is a crazy weird moving stairs. He stands and stares at it.
Christmas lights - he thinks they are amazing and wants to touch all of them.
And...he found the "cars" that move. I had 50 cents. He LOVED it.
It has been a good escape, because we all have been going a little CRAZY. Being sick is NO FUN!

Christmas lights in the stores.
Game Stop - Dad was playing the new Wii, Max grabbed the next best thing the x-box controller.
In our opinion.
Escalator fun...
Moving car - he loved all the buttons. See that nose - SNOT!
Here is to hoping we can go outside and play soon.

Not feeling so good over here...
Sunday started out GREAT!
Max was dressed in his super cute vest from Uncle Brandon, we got new callings in church (we are the ward librarians and also are in charge of getting all the ward pictures and bulletin boards set up) and we were going to a fireside given by our good friends the Pope's. It was going to be a great Sunday.
Until...
Max went down for a nap and woke up 45 minutes later.
He usually sleeps for 3 hours.
He was HOT and snuggly. He stayed on the couch with us and watched MONK. He usually plays when we watch Monk, but no, he watched, or "spaced out."
He had a fever, that lasted all night. The whole next day, and now we are going on day three.
He is super congested, stuffy, miserable, and super snuggly. (The snuggles I don't mind AT ALL, but I wish he was feeling better!)
So we have been doing a lot of THIS...
And THIS...
And even more of THIS...
And Gerald has sure be getting a lot of love...

First BIG Snow of the Season
Last night we had the first big snow of the winter season. It snowed more in one night than it did all winter last year. If this is a telling of what is to come, I am going to hate this winter. I am not a fan of snow, it is pretty to look at, but I don't like to be in it.
Here is the snow - there was a ton!
On Saturday Morning we were invited to a birthday party. Mr. Miles was turning 7! Will and Jake took Miles and his friends to see Wreck It Ralph, while I stayed with Max, Penny, and Alison and hung out. Alison made cupcakes and Max and Penny ate Cheerios off the floor. They had a blast!
On a side note - we got Max a pair of winter boots. Will can't wait to play with Max in the snow next storm. I will be waiting inside (after taking pictures of course) with the hot chocolate.
Inside Play is fun on a snow day - we watched Elmo, played in the laundry baskets, played trains (lots of trains), played with cars, jumped on beds, read lots of books, and sang and danced in the living room. It wasn't bad for a first snow day.

NEWS From The Strong Clan
BIG NEWS:
Will has a new FULL TIME job with benefits with the company he was doing freelance for. The company is called Middlebury (this is the blog). They are an interactive dual immersion learning company that makes programs for Elementary Schools using the dual immersion program.
So Max and I say goodbye to Will at 8am and he comes home between 4 and 5pm each day. It is more of a normal routine, and is going to be great for our family.
Will is still going to be working on his own projects at night, but this new job has benefits and a lot more financial security for our family. It is wonderful. YES for Health Insurance!
Max and I are very proud of Will and for all his hard work he does for our family. He is the BEST!

Let's Eat Cake!
One of Max's buddies turned ONE on November 7th. She had a cute little birthday party.
Max cried when people sang happy birthday to her, it must be something about the song that he hates. Or he hates all our friends voices...who knows??
One thing that we learned last night is that Max likes cake, but not the icing.
Max and his BFF at the party. Nelesoni is walking which is changing Max's world.
Birthday Girl - she LOVED the cake. Dove right into the chocolate.
Max: "Hey Dad I want some too!"
Big Sister who of course was a cat for the party.

After the party:
Max came home and took a bubble bath. It was fun. We got bubbles everywhere.
