Thanksgiving Weekend

We had a super Thanksgiving weekend.  It was relaxed, fun, and we spent a lot of time with friends.  Will had off from work on Thursday and Friday and we took full advantage of him being home.  We took lots of walks, continued painting our condo, and ate some great food.

I am Thankful for so many things in my life.  I should have done the "Thankful each day challenge."  I am blessed to have a wonderful husband who works so hard to support our family, and supports me in wanting to be home with Max and our future children.  I am blessed to have an adorable, smart, funny, and active 17 month old.  I am blessed to have wonderful friends who I feel are more like my family.  I am blessed to have a supportive family in Utah, California and in New Jersey.  I am blessed to have the Gospel of Jesus Christ in my life, for without it I know my life would have taken a different path and I would not have so many blessings in my life.  I am thankful for these blessings and so many more.

Let the Holiday Season Begin...

Thanksgiving Day.
 Tanei, Jed, Mei and Nohea were so kind to open their home to us on Thanksgiving Day.  We ate, played video games, and watched Max chase Nohea around all afternoon.
 Max and Nohea holding hands.  Young love.
 This is a picture of Max making his "please" sign for more food!

 Saturday Night - BYU basketball game!  Max did well at the game.  He was a little freaked out by the noise level, but he sat on our laps, at a pretzel and eventually did clap during the Cougar Fight Song!

Seth McGuire's Mission Farewell:
I taught Seth my very first year at Canyon Crest.  Fell in love not only with Seth, but with his WHOLE family.  We love the McGuire's and we love spending holidays with them!

Max sure did look very grown up in this outfit!  And Max loves the McGuire's Dog Fergie.  He stands at the window and watches Fergie run in circles.
 Sunday afternoon was RELAXING - we did art (Will drew comics, Max "helped")
Monday night for FHE we took a night walk to the library!  Max looks like a huge red smurf in his new coat.  Max LOVES night time and all the lights.

Thanksgiving weekend success!!

WE NEED A LITTLE CHRISTMAS

Haul out the holly;
Put up the tree before my spirit falls again.
 Fill up the stocking,
I may be rushing things, but deck the halls again now.
 For we need a little Christmas
Right this very minute,
Candles in the window,
Carols at the spinet.
 Yes, we need a little Christmas
Right this very minute.
It hasn't snowed a single flurry,
But Santa, dear, we're in a hurry;
 So climb down the chimney;
Put up the brightest string of lights I've ever seen.
Slice up the fruitcake;
 It's time we hung some tinsel on that evergreen bough.
 For I've grown a little leaner,
 Grown a little colder,
 Grown a little sadder,
Grown a little older,
And I need a little angel
Sitting on my shoulder,
Need a little Christmas now.

Warm weather November

Today was such a GREAT day!
Max and I  walked to Will's Middlebury office and picked him up.  On the way home we stopped at a park and Max played in the leaves.  The weather has been so beautiful.  It has been 60-70 degrees during the day.

The later at night we took Max to go see the lights at Riverwoods Mall and sit on Santa's lap.  Max LOVED the lights.  He would look up at the huge trees and get so excited.  Max wasn't such a fan of Santa.  He clung on to me the whole time.  Better luck next year!

The Christmas Lights at Riverwoods:

 Santa was super nice, but Max was still very scared.  Unsure is more like it.

Happy Start to the Holiday Season 2012!

Recess really is the BEST part of school!

Max and I went back to Canyon Crest today to drop off some files for Paula Hatch.  I worked with her in 5th grade last year.  Her omputer crashed and she lost EVERYTHING!  Worst fear of my whole teaching career.  Anyways, Max and I went and hung out in Paula's room for a bit.  Max wrote on a few desks and then ate a blow pop (yes, I took it before he got to the gum part - don't worry!), and then the fun began.  Mr. Swallow's class was going to recess!

We stayed and played outside with the "big kids" and it was a blast!
Max played and played, and then fell asleep on the ride home.  Perfect morning!
