Teething on Converse

Teething is so much better when you can chew on a pair of dirty converse sneakers.

Sleep Study

Dexter had to have a sleep study done this past week.
It was awful for him.
He screamed and cried the whole time they were setting all of the cords and head pieces up.  He was traumatized.  The poor tech that was setting things up felt so bad.  Dexter would cry every time he saw him.  He was so worn out from all the crying, he did sleep well.  And by the next day he was at least smiling again.
I don't EVER want to have to do that again.
We find out next Wednesday what the results are and how we can help little man Dexter breath better at night.  I hope and pray we have good news and some answers.

 He looked like Baby Tron.

And by the time morning came around and the cords were gone, Dexter was back to himself.  Smiles and All.  Love this little guy so much!

The Solid Start

Dexter has been begging for solid foods.
I am a bit hessitant to let him try.
We are going to be doing "baby led weaning" of both solids and breastfeeding, so I have been letting Dexter make his own decisions.

He has been reaching and even screaming at our food when we eat.  He got really mad at Will the other night and launched himself at his fork of food.
So even though the doctor said wait until 6 months, Dexter is ready.  We gave him a teething biscuit today and he went to town.  I bet it felt awesome on his teeth and tasted good too.  Vanilla flavor oat biscuit.  YUM!

We are going to try bananas this week and see how he does.

Ice Castles, Midway Utah

Ice Castles are things you hear about or see in movies like FROZEN, but you never get to see them in real life.  Until this crazy guy decides to make a living by traveling world wide making ice castles.  He came to Utah during the Olympics, but it hasn't been cold enough for him to come back.  Until this winter.  And I am so glad he did because it was breathtaking.

Year in review 2013 - Picasitch

If you turn up the volume there is music.

A lot happened this year.
A lot of wonderful things.
A few not so wonderful.
But one thing is for sure - I love my boys and my family!
