The Ferris Wheel

We went to Scheels this past Friday night.  (May 22, 2015)
They have a nice size ferris wheel inside.  Some of Max's cousins were there and were planning on riding the ferris wheel.  Max loved to watch it go around and around and when the time came to decide if he wanted to ride, his answer was a BIG "YES"!  So we stood in line and waited.  We asked him again and the positive answer was still there.  Max was riding the ferris wheel.
He got on without any fear at all.
His mom was more scared than he was.
He was a stud.  He yelled with joy.  He waved to everyone below.
Max was so happy.
Until the ride was over and he had to get off.

So it looks like we will be visiting Scheels again.

Zach, Aunt Beth, and Noah.
Look at how happy Max is.
Charley and Uncle Matthew

The happy riders!

Dexter's Big boy haircut

Dexter has had 6 haircuts since being born.  He has a ton of hair.  A ton.  But it is very fine.

Dexter is now 21 months.  And is officially a toddler.  He is a moving-all-the-time -won't-stop toddler!

 Dying Easter Eggs

Playing outside whenever we were awake!

Easter Sunday Easter Egg Hunt.  Can you tell Dexter had a blast?

Max was so excited to ride a boat to Balboa Island

Dexter ate is weight in sand.

Max helped Grandpa in the garden.

Will and I went on a date to Disneyland.  It poured rain the entire time, but we had fun anyways.
We got really tired.  And we played on things we weren't supposed to.  Like the kitchen table.

We road bikes and enjoyed the sun.
It was 10 days with my boys.  No school.  No work.  California.  It was perfect.

Dexter is 19 months.

Dexter is 19 months.  Where did the time go?  He is such a sweet boy.  He makes everyone laugh.  He loves his big brother.  He still is the worst sleeper on the planet.  He is very attached to his mom.  He nurses 5-6 times a day, and is getting better at eating solid food.  His smiles are contagious, and he loves being tickled.  He is just a little guy weighing in at 23 pounds, and 30 inches.  (Max was the same height and weight at 6 months...)  Dexter Andrew we love you, you are challenging, and stubborn but I am sure glad to be your mommy.  I love you my little BFF.

Warmest "Spring" in February

Charley helping Max learn to drink from a water bottle.  Short sleeves and shorts in February.  I think it was 65 degrees during the day.  Perfect in my book.

My Dad got the boys these cool push bikes, Dexter just likes to sit on them.  In the sun I might add.

Outside time.  Will was in character in the picture below, sweating in that jacket, it was 60 degrees.

But I think this is coming to an end...snow is in our future.  Maybe it will stay in the mountains.

The cutest 6th grader you ever did see

Each Thursday Dexter comes to my classroom.  Will has to go and volunteer at Max's classroom for 2-3 hours so Dexter is my companion.  I love Walden because they have no problem with Dexter being in class with me, and my students adore him.  And frankly are better behaved when he is there.  And his cuteness is out of this world.

He practices his writing skills.
He wears hats of my students and smiles with delight.
He is a great teacher.  He watched Wreck it Ralph while teaching math.
He allows his Mom to take recess selfies.
Walden has chickens.  Yup chickens.  And Dexter loves them.
And Dexter is really good at science projects.  He eats the planets - especially enjoying Jupiter.
