July 4th 2012

A Quote from one of my favorite movies:
"Good morning. In less than an hour, aircraft from here will join others from around the world. And you will be launching the largest aerial battle in the history of mankind. "Mankind." That word should have new meaning for all of us today. We can't be consumed by our petty differences anymore. We will be united in our common interests. Perhaps it's fate that today is the Fourth of July, and you will once again be fighting for our freedom... Not from tyranny, oppression, or persecution... but from annihilation. We are fighting for our right to live. To exist. And should we win the day, the Fourth of July will no longer be known as an American holiday, but as the day the world declared in one voice: "We will not go quietly into the night!" We will not vanish without a fight! We're going to live on! We're going to survive! Today we celebrate our Independence Day!" -Independence Day.

Can you believe that this was Max last 4th of July?  He was such a peanut.

We went to the Freedom Festival this year to watch the Parade.  I love 4th of July in Provo.  There is always a party, and always a lot of good friends to see.
This year I was surprised by KALEI and CHRIS!  It was so good to see them both.  They drove in from California.  I have not seen them in a year.
 Me, Grace and Kat
Max meeting Kalei for the first time.
Max and Will watching the Parade.

Max actually hasn't been feeling good.  He slept through a lot of the parade.  And we learned quickly that he has had strep throat for a few days.  Poor little guy.
Max and Will sleeping on the Tarp.  Our ward has a huge breakfast and the youth sleep out to save a lot of space on the parade route.  It is a blast!
Kalei and I.  This was a great 4th of July gift.
